Lord Krishna, Our Legends, Bhagavad Gita, Mahabharat  BHAGAVAD GITA, PREFACE-4 The Lord descends to this Mortal world to show His pastimes in Vrindavan, which are full of happiness. The abode of Lord Sri Krishna is described in the Bhagavad Gita. The  Abode of Lord Sri Krishna is illuminated by the Brahmajyoti, the rays emanating from the supreme Lord. This Abode is referred to as Goloka . The Lord resides eternally in His abode Goloka, yet He can be approached from this world.  Lord comes to manifest His real form, Sat-Chit-Ananda-Vigraha . One who can approach that spiritual sky is not required to descend again to the material sky. In the material sky, we will find the same conditions of life, namely birth, death, disease, and old age. No planet in the material universe is free from these four principles of material existence. One who wants to approach the spiritual sky will not meet with these material inconveniences.  Our legend, Lord Krishna  BHAGAVAD GITA, PREFACE-3 The purpose of Bhagavad Gita is to impart   Brahma Vidya , the science of God's realization.   According to the Vedas , there is such a branch of knowledge, and that is the  science of realizing the   Absolute Truth , which has been referred to by many names, such as Ishvara, Allah, God, Ikomkar .   All other truths have emanated from it. This is an exceptional  book of knowledge.  It presents the mission of the Supreme Personality of  Lord Krishna,  for the upliftment of human beings . It is the source of inspiration to the human beings who believe in Lord Krishna because  He connects the soul to the highest perfection of life . Since the Bhagavad Gita encapsulates most of the important aspects of the knowledge of the Vedas, it is also called  Gitopnishad . T he Bhagavad Gita was originally compiled by Ved  Vyasa as  a separate text. When he wrote the  Mahabharat , he embedded the Bhagavad Gita in it. The  Mahabharat  contains one hundred thousand verses and is, therefore,  the largest poem in the world.  The Mahabharat is divided into eighteen sections. The Bhagavad Gita is set in the sixth section which is called the   Bheeshma Parva. ...
